Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Strength and Conditioning Instructor to lead our group fitness classes. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to helping individuals improve their physical fitness, enhance athletic performance, and achieve their fitness goals through engaging and dynamic group workouts. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive team environment, guiding clients of all fitness levels to success.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive strength and conditioning programs tailored to meet the needs and goals of group fitness participants.
  • Conduct group fitness classes, focusing on proper exercise technique, form, and safety for all participants.
  • Assess participants' fitness levels, provide modifications as needed, and create a motivating and inclusive atmosphere during classes.
  • Educate participants on the principles of strength and conditioning, nutrition, and recovery strategies to enhance performance and prevent injuries.
  • Maintain a clean and safe training environment, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and sanitized.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in strength and conditioning training, attending workshops and continuing education courses as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other fitness professionals and staff members to promote a cohesive and positive team atmosphere.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred.
  • Group fitness instructor certification from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA).
  • Previous experience teaching group fitness classes, preferably in a strength and conditioning or athletic setting.
  • Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and sports performance training principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and inspire participants.
  • CPR/AED certification required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate class schedules.
