Summary
The Data Insights Analyst is a dynamic, hands-on role responsible for advancing the organization’s data ecosystem and BI tools, with a focus on leveraging Domo to foster a data-driven culture. This role involves developing dashboards, optimizing data pipelines, and maintaining the integrity and reliability of organizational data within Domo.
By working closely with business leaders, the Analyst ensures stakeholders have access to actionable insights and impactful visualizations to support informed decision-making. Collaborating with leaders across divisions—including Strategy & Growth, Quality, Operations, IT, and Medical Staff—the Analyst drives organizational performance and innovation. This position is instrumental in ensuring data accuracy, optimizing BI tools, and delivering user-centric dashboards that provide meaningful, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Domo Development and Management
- Build and maintain Domo dashboards, cards, and visualizations that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Design and optimize dataflows using Domo ETL tools to ensure efficient and reliable data pipelines.
- Manage datasets within Domo, maintaining data quality, consistency, and alignment with business needs.
- Explore and implement new Domo features to maximize platform capabilities and improve user experiences.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Domo dataflows, dashboards, or system integrations.
Data Analysis and Insights
- Analyze complex datasets to extract insights and answer key business questions.
- Translate data findings into clear, compelling visualizations and reports that align with organizational objectives.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, define, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Data Governance and Quality Assurance
- Uphold data governance principles by maintaining clean, accurate, and standardized data across all systems.
- Conduct regular data quality checks and audits to ensure data reliability within Domo.
- Partner with IT and data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of data sources into Domo.
Data Strategy and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business and operational leaders as a trusted data advisor to anticipate needs, align metrics with strategic goals, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define and track KPIs, linking data insights to business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment of data initiatives with organizational goals.
User Training and Adoption
- Train and support end-users on Domo dashboards and feature to ensure effective adoption.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve dashboard design and usability.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Domo, providing guidance and support to internal teams.
Project Management
- Manage multiple data projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate new data sources, develop reports, and enhance BI processes.
Other Duties
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging BI technologies, and best practices to continuously improve organizational capabilities.
- Perform additional tasks as required to support the organization’s data-driven mission.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience working in data analytics, with a focus on Domo or similar BI tools.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Domo, Tableau, or similar BI tools, with experience in building dashboards, managing datasets, and using ETL tools.
- Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write and optimize queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Familiarity with Python or other programming languages for data manipulation is a plus.
- Experience with data modeling and working with large datasets.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and visualization.
