Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting seasonal Sales Associates for a well respected boutique shop in Rochester, NY.
Job Title: Seasonal Sales Associate
Reports To: Store Manager
Summary: To deliver superior service and exceed customer expectations by performing the following duties, 12 to 40 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Understands and upholds the company's core values.
- Greets customers in a professional, personable and timely manner.
- Assists customers with purchasing items by answering inquiries, and providing product and price information.
- Processes customer orders in a courteous manner.
- Applies suggestive selling techniques when assisting customers.
- Completes appropriate paperwork for customer’s orders, comments and requests.
- Applies knowledge of store products and services on a daily basis.
- Receives and accurately processes payments for purchases through point-of-sale system.
- Processes returns to include completing appropriate paperwork, exchanging merchandise and generating credit receipts as needed.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area at all times
- Responsible for effectively merchandising products within work area including upkeep of existing displays.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associate’s degree preferred. One year prior customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mathematical Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percent.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as product catalogs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence and reports. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the store.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, email, internet, Microsoft Excel, Retail-pro.
