ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for performing general maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facilities equipment; cleaning of physical plant and its facilities, warehouse, and offices; and plumbing, mechanical, tool usage, assigned tasks/projects, etc.
ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to the Facilities Supervisor
- Keep the venue safe and clean at all times, including but not limited to: clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, mirrors, doors and walls of restrooms; keep all guest facing areas free of trash; stock restrooms and other appropriate areas with supplies
- Diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, and test for necessary adjustments
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform duties
- Set up barricades, pipe n drape, and steel deck for box office/guest list, guest merchandise, coat check areas, and smoking areas based on logistics for specified event
- Responsible for venue storage, organization, and cleanliness
- Perform walkthroughs of the venue to check for R&M needs and any safety or compliance issues
- Ensure physical plant is compliant to mitigate potential safety hazards for employees and patrons
- During the winter, maintain heaters, generators, pipes, etc; responsible for snow removal
- Ensure all combustible materials are stored and used safely
- Responsible for weekly maintenance of doors
RUN OF SHOW ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond and address operations’ needs; assist production, if needed
- Responsible for R&M needs during event, ensure issues are addressed in a safe and timely manner
- Maintain parking lot for cleanliness
- Ensures site lighting is sufficient
- Frequent walkarounds to check with each department
Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
- An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance, a plus
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
- Must be willing to work long shifts, including overnight shifts
- Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 50 pounds.
Hourly rate for this role is $25.
