Job Summary:
Supermicro is seeking a dedicated warehouse professional to assist the Manager, Shipping and Warehouse in our warehouses and distribution centers in San Jose. The Manager, Shipping and Warehouse will be responsible for setting employee standards and evaluating employee behavior ensuring that all warehouse procedures are followed consistently. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote and provide a safe, clean, and organized warehouse that exceeds established daily goals, specifically in the areas of receiving, stocking, inventory control, and shipping.
- Oversee warehousing activities, receiving, physical inventory distribution, and maintenance.
- Space layout and planning to ensure efficiently utilized.
- Execute the daily warehouse checklist.
- Provide some or all of weekend supervisory coverage.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse.
- Provide feedback on continuous improvement in warehouse processes that improves our quality and reduce cost.
- Establish and maintain employee schedules.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage a variety of projects concurrent with day-to-day operations.
- Oversee safety audits to assess compliance with our warehouse safety standards.
- Ensure that established warehouse procedures are followed consistently.
- Resolve first-level operational issues and escalate them as necessary to the Sr. Warehouse Manager.
- Set employee standards and evaluate employee performance.
- Understand the Sr. Warehouse Manager's duties and perform those functions in his/her absence.
- Comply with Company policies and standards.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Management Team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proven management ability to direct and develop team members, including performance evaluations and corrective actions.
- Excellent communication skills at a cross-functional level. Position requires communications throughout the warehouse and corporate office.
- Excellent time, task management, and problem-solving skills (i.e., ability to set priorities and meet deadlines).
- Computer literacy required (must be proficient with the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and the internet).
- Demonstrated ability in basic mathematics, and the ability to follow and enforce the adherence to process.
- Mechanical aptitude for process improvements and routine maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of Company staff.
Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.
Salary Range:
$96,000 - $110,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
