We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in enabling patients to access care by handling all aspects of registration and pre-registration for both outpatient and inpatient accounts. The ideal candidate will be skilled in efficiently and accurately calculating and securing patient liabilities (copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles) in a welcoming and professional manner. You will be interacting with patients, physicians, and hospital staff to ensure all parties' needs are met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all registration and pre-registration tasks for outpatient and inpatient accounts.
Calculate and secure patient liabilities (copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles) accurately.
Provide a warm, welcoming, and professional experience to patients.
Ensure all required documentation is collected and processed efficiently.
Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and hospital staff.
Provide assistance with insurance verification and billing processes.
Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum two years of experience in a high-volume healthcare facility or medical office setting, with strong computer and customer service skills.
High school graduate or equivalent required; continuing education preferred.
Experience with medical terminology strongly preferred.
Previous insurance and billing experience required.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must pass a background check, drug screening, TB test, and physical examination.
