Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and cranes. Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment. Read and interpret site plans and construction drawings. Work closely with other crew members to coordinate operations. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and cranes. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols. Conduct risk assessments and participate in safety meetings. Handle materials such as dirt, rocks, and debris. Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. Stay updated with the latest industry standards and practices. Essential Skills 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with grading, trenching, and different soil classes. Proven experience in civil construction. Valid certifications and licenses for operating heavy equipment. Strong understanding of safety guidelines and protocols. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings. Excellent coordination and teamwork skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
