What you'll do:
- Model and promote good safety practices. Ensure safety is never compromised.
- Skillfully operate and maneuver equipment to perform ditching, excavating, backfilling, tamping, breaking, running, etc. with minimal disruption to the surrounding improvements and infrastructure.
- Inspect, monitor and maintain heavy equipment to ensure optimal operation. Identify and address any problems or defects.
- Place, remove and/or maintain materials within the worksite.
- Work with laborers to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment and materials.
- Secure work site, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public safety and safety of equipment and materials.
- Follow all policies and procedures with strict attention to company and client standards.
- Other duties as directed.

Qualifications:
- 2 years construction equipment operator with experience with steep slope construction a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED required. Demonstrated related experience may be substituted for required education.
- Must pass drug screening and criminal background check.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Work schedule is Monday - Friday with Saturdays as required.
- Outdoor work in all types of weather.
- Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, mists, odors and vibrations. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Exert more than 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or more than 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Must be able to see, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity; climb, kneel, stand, walk crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar tasks requiring physical activity.
