ZA Construction is looking for Heavy Equipment Operator. Salary is commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate would have railroad construction experience, but all are invited to apply. Must be able to work Monday - Friday (full-time and some overtime) and be available to work on weekends/holidays when necessary. Must be able to travel out of state (transportation provided). Salary is commensurate with experience. Duties/Responsibilities Operates construction, excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment including backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, track dumps, off road dumps, and excavators safely. Demonstrate experienced operation and equipment knowledge. Maintains proper equipment appearance and cleanliness. Transports tools and other construction equipment to and from job sites Must be able work in harsh weather conditions as well as rough terrain. Knows and adheres to all safety guidelines of heavy machinery operation. Routine pre-trip inspection of equipment. Performs routine maintenance and repairs Responsible for the safe operation and upkeep of all equipment on site. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. ```{=html} ``` - Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Must be highly dependable and available for emergency calls. ```{=html} ``` - Extensive knowledge of heavy machinery operation and capabilities. - Must be authorized for employment in the USA. - Applicants will be required to submit a pre-employment drug screen and background check. - Strong Communication skills (written and verbal) - Excellent mechanical skills. ```{=html} ``` - Class A CDL License or desire to acquire license (Preferred) This Job Is: A job for which military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
