Position: Hardware Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA - Onsite
Contract Length: 12 months
Contract Rate: $55.40/hour (W2)
Responsibilities:
- Depth/image sensor product evaluation and application support.
- Execute sensor data collection and performance analysis.
- Provide Off-the-shelf and custom depth/image sensors hands-on bring-up and test support.
- Debug evaluation boards and application use cases.
- Maintain sensor datasheet, application note, and reference design.
- Work with depth/image sensor engineers to explore various sensor functions/features for system-level use cases.
- Draft application notes or technical white paper to showcase the potential improvements and/or alternative solutions at the system level.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of industry or related work experience.
- Experience working in an electro-optical laboratory environment.
- Depth/image sensor evaluation boards/systems EE debugging experience.
- Scripting language experience using Python, MATLAB or Perl.
- Experience working with scope, logic analyzer, muti-meter equipment and tools.
- Self-discipline, initiative, diligence, motivation, and the ability to work with limited supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of industry experience in in-depth/image sensor analysis and application.
- Firmware development experience using C/C++.
- EE board design and bring-up experience.
- Experience in MIPI D/C-PHY, I2C, and I3C.
- Experience with SPAD array depth sensor, CMOS image sensor, ISP, sensor performance merits, and data analysis.
- Experience with image processing and quality related to image statistics, noise, and defect pixel correction.
- Experience with laser ranging and depth sensing quality metrics.
- Familiarity with camera FW and image sensor control.
- Familiarity with JMP or other statistical software for data automation and visualization.
