THE WORK Advanced Programs in King of Prussia, PA are looking for an experienced professional in the Hardware Engineering/Sustainment field. Advanced Programs are rapid changing programs, which requires the ability to shift priorities as necessary for successful results. The candidate selected would be part of the Global Sustainment team supporting the Midway program. This program supports ground station systems, primarily made up of Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment. The candidate will support the development of new systems as well as the sustainment of existing fielded systems. The candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and version control of system drawings, diagrams, parts lists, and other necessary artifacts. Additionally, the candidate would assist solutioning obsolete hardware replacements and ensuring requirements mapping for replacement items. Additionally, the candidate will assist developing designs for the installation of components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, and/or shelters. The candidate will act as the conduit between sustainment and development teams ensure designs are sustainable. The candidate will become knowledgeable enough on the system(s) to be able to sustain fielded systems at CONUS and OCONUS locations which will/may require approximately 5 to 10% travel (higher travel during test and installation cycles). When not on travel the candidate will be required to be on-site at the King of Prussia facility. Please Note: This position will require the selected candidate to currently have a Top Secret U.S. government security clearance before starting with Lockheed Martin. Basic Qualifications: • Must have strong inter-personal skills, have the ability to work within a team, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in design software for part and assembly design, and associated configuration management tool for managing engineering data and documentation. • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles. • Experience in creating detailed engineering drawings within CAD software in compliance with ASME Y14.100 standards. • Candidate must have experience with rack based designs and COTS hardware integration. • Candidate must be able to perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance. • Candidate is expected to be skilled with general knowledge of electronic equipment and able to read and understand basic interconnect diagrams or other schematics. • Must have experience in hardware design and interpretation/development of Engineering Drawings, Parts Lists, and/or Bill of Materials • MUST Have a Top-Secret Clearance. • Must be able to travel as needed. Travel varies from 5 to 10% depending on priorities and deliveries. • Position is full time in the King of Prussia, PA facility, candidate must be willing to relocate if not in this area. • Bachelor of Science in Engineering discipline Desired Skills: • Highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with the ability to follow through on both internal and external commitments. • Experience with the Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) Tool • Prior experience with Engineering change processes and change orders. • Prior experience monitoring system obsolescence reporting and tracking high-priority items to end-of-life. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
