Responsibilities
- Product Definition, Design, Verification & Validation
- Analyze Customer Requirements for Product Definition
- Define Product Requirements
- Generate Product Specifications
- Develop Prototype Plans
- Perform Design Validation of Prototype Circuits as well as new full designs in the laboratory
- PCB Schematic Design
- Create and verify symbols
- Hierarchical / Reusable designs
- Integration of ADCs and DACs with FPGAs, including LVDS and JESD204 based convertors
- RF Circuits including single ended to differential conversion and impedance matching networks
- Power Supplies (linear and switching)
- Phase Locked Loop (PLLs)
- Clock Distribution and Synchronization
- PCB Design Support
- Constraint Definition (Length Matching, Controlled Impedance, etc)
- RF Keepout Definition
- Routing plans and implementation
- Generate and approve stackups
- Crosstalk simulations
- Power Distribution System Simulation
- Backdrilling Definition
- Provide Network analysis of circuits
- Generate documentation to enable Firmware and Software Teams to enable and test hardware functionality
- Generate and Implement Product Test Plans
- Operate in a team environment to develop COTS solutions designed with the end user in mind
- Generate and maintain BOMs and assembly drawings to support purchasing and manufacturing
- Utilize Laboratory Test Equipment, including:
- Multi-Meters
- Oscilloscopes
- Spectrum Analyzers
- Network Analyzers
- Signal Source Analyzers
- RF Signal Generators
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience Designing, Building, and/or Modeling RF Circuits and/or Associated Signal Processing Hardware. (1-10GHz required, 10GHz+ desired)
- Experience with high speed (5GSps+) ADC and DAC circuits, including signal conditioning and low phase noise clock distribution techniques
- Experience with RF Measurement Equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Signal Generators, etc)
- Experience with General Electronics Measurement Equipment (Oscilloscopes, Multi-meters, etc)
- Experience with grounding and shielding techniques
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other design teams including HW, SW, FW, Mechanical, Purchasing and Manufacturing
- Ability to effectively communicate and present designs to customers
