Job Summary:
A Hardware Design Engineer is needed for an American multinational technology company that develops, manufactures, licenses, supports, and sells computer software, consumer electronics, personal computers, and related services in Raleigh, NC or Mountain View, CA areas. This role involves providing FPGA debugging and firmware development support for ASIC prototyping projects, requiring expertise in Verilog and embedded microprocessor systems.

Location: Mountain View, California
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $96.66 - 107.55 per hour
Work Hours: 8am to 4pm
Education: Bachelor's

Responsibilities:

• Provide FPGA debug support for firmware development in an ASIC prototyping project.
• Perform Verilog RTL development as needed based on project demands.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to meet project goals and timelines.
• Design and debug FPGA systems for ASIC prototyping.
• Develop and debug embedded microprocessor systems.
• Utilize programming skills in Verilog, C, and assembly languages.

Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Proficiency in Verilog, C, and assembly languages.
• Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy and quality.
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in computer hardware engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience with FPGA programming using Verilog.
• At least 10 years of coding experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with microprocessor systems and embedded design.
