Job Description
The Software / Hardware Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining standards for software and hardware operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures. The engineer will support manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test activities, with an emphasis on hardware.
Responsibilities
Currently, there are more programs than engineers on staff. These products are used on multiple programs, including defense as well as Artemis and Gateway. Approximately 50% of the time will be spent in the lab. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on quality experiences with both software and hardware, and the individual will lead the quality team.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00

Job Description
The Software / Hardware Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining standards for software and hardware operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures. The engineer will support manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test activities, with an emphasis on hardware.
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, apply, and maintain standards for software and hardware operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures.
- Support manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test activities.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements through traceability, unit testing, regression testing, and static analysis.
- Provide input as required, particularly with an emphasis on hardware.
- Witness and inspect manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test activities.
- Define, witness, and verify PA and QA project requirements.
- Supervise supplier and subcontractor related PA and QA activities, including policies, processes, and audits.
- Interface with customers' PA and QA representatives.
- Review materials, parts procurement, and processes against PA/QA and technical requirements.
- Generate Product and Quality Assurance documentation for projects in cooperation with the project manager and the project team.
- Check and maintain quality control data and records collected during PA/QA management activities.
- Manage NCRs, RFD, and RFW.
- Knowledge of J standard and hardware PCB.
- Experience in software quality assurance in compliance with customer requirements.
- Proficiency in traceability, unit testing, regression testing, and static analysis.
- IPC J-STD-001 Certification.
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification preferred.
- IPC-7711 / 7722 Certification preferred.
- Experience in space/defense or other regulated environments preferred.
- 5+ years of experience performing PA/QA technical requirements.
