ACE 25-26 Project Manager VISTA-Regional Food Bank
ACE has a cohort of VISTAs dispersed throughout the cities of Albany, Troy, and Schenectady working on different capacity building projects at a variety of nonprofit organizations. These projects may be in one of four categories; resource development, volunteer management, program development, and community outreach. After an applicant is accepted to the program, they are given a specific project description. As a part of the ACE program, VISTA members take part in our monthly team building days, attend AmeriCorps trainings, and have access to Siena's faculty to learn more about their areas of interest. Minimum Qualifications: - Have a growth mindset - US citizen or have permanent resident status Living Allowance: VISTAs earn a living allowance for their service. The annual living allowance is $24,852, which is $957.46 on a bi-weekly basis. Member Duties : The Regional Food Bank is looking for a VISTA to assist with the development of the Regional Food Bank's Patroon Land Farm and become part of a corporate team that will initiate research and identify corporate partners and community connections. RFB needs a VISTA Member who wants to see the farm thrive and takes leadership in creation and expansion of new educational and volunteer opportunities. Goals and Duties of The Position: - Review the history of the Farm's yield, capacity (staffing and infrastructure), and benefits since 2006 - Maintain relations and seek out grants/ organizations to help aid further construction of our High Tunnels. - Assist in promoting the Farm through marketing and social media, to gain and retain volunteers. - Identify opportunities and innovations for building the farm's financial sustainability, such as through education programs and corporate retreats.
