Job Summary

Under the direction of the National Director of Talent, the Recruiter is responsible for the volume recruitment of several schools. They will partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and will work to attract, recruit, and retain diverse, high-quality talent that is mission aligned. The Recruiter will help identify gaps and provide recommendations for improving branding, sourcing, candidate experience management, hiring manager experience management, acquisition metrics and compliance for Open Sky Education and its family of brands. They will represent OSE and its organizations at job fairs, community events and conferences.This is a hybrid role and does require onsite presence.

Essential Responsibilities and Competencies

Talent Acquisition
  • Executes the Talent Acquisition function; works towards progressing staffing goals
  • Reviews resumes and applications, screens applicants through phone and interviews, and recommends top talent for a wide variety of positions located in our schools including hard to fill and/or highly competitive positions that require specialized sourcing strategies
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
  • Creates unique sourcing plans based on level and location as needed
  • Manages job postings and advertisement processes
  • Oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
  • Manages applicant tracking system by posting, updating, and closing job orders, moving candidates through interview and hiring process, and extending offers
  • Continually reviews and makes recommendations to management for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures and practices on talent acquisition
  • Builds relationships with Principals and Regional Executive Directors, meeting regularly to review talent acquisition metrics, market trends, and help implement solutions to meet school needs
  • Works alongside seasonal outsourced recruitment partnerships on volume recruiting positions to ensure goals are being met collectively and ongoing communication exists with hiring managers and leadership
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and Talent team during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and ensures compliance with federal, state and local employment regulations

Community Relations, Digital Marketing and Analysis
  • Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions
  • Recommends ways to enhance and improve our employer brand
  • Creates a robust pipeline of candidates through advanced sourcing including web searches and utilizing Indeed, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc., to increase creative digital sourcing
  • Participates on internal and external committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities and relationships
  • Continues to enhance and maintain an applicant tracking system that meets the organization's needs
  • Collaborates with the other Talent team members to ensure OSE and its affiliated organizations are exciting, supportive, and challenging places of employment where all team members become a part of our team and family
  • Lives and acts as a biblical role model and Open Sky Education representative in your life for our scholars, team members and community

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within Talent Acquisition as a volume recruiter
  • Ability to manage high volume, high variety workloads in deadline driven environment while balancing quantity of hires with quality of hires priorities
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree required, MBA or graduate degree preferred
  • Willingness to travel locally on weekly basis to schools in the region
  • Previous experience in a multi-state organization a plus
  • Experience with UKG applicant tracking system is a plus
  • Highly skilled with recruiting software tools and MS Office/Google
  • Strong analytical skills and strong use of software applications such as MS Teams and Excel
  • SHRM-CP and/or SHRM's Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus
