Schedule: Monday – Friday; 40 hours per week
Compensation: $68,000 - $75,000 annually

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our growing team and help us in our vision to give back lives, reunite families, and heal communities that are suffering from the devastating effects of substance use disorder.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing and administering employee relations, protected leave, and employee benefits as well as partnering with the HR Manager in supporting other areas of the HR team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: employee relations, benefits administration, employee experience, policy development, leave administration, and employment law compliance.

The Role:
- Participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Ensures documenting of such is done appropriately.
- Responds to employee relations issues such as employee complaints and harassment allegations, referring complex matters to the appropriate staff.
- Provides guidance to managers on conflict management.
- Analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for continuous improvement.
- Subject matter expert on employee benefits.
- Brings innovative thinking to company culture initiatives and provides recommendations on how to improve processes.
- Responsible for protected leave and ADA accommodations for a large number of employees.
- Educates employees on FMLA and WPFL and processes requests accordingly.
- Tracks employee leaves of absence through the HRIS system and communicates with managers and payroll regarding absent employees.
- Conducts employee and manager training surrounding the protected leave process.
- Manage and work through workers compensation claims.
- Abides by HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 and is willing to sign a permanent oath of patient confidentiality.
- Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (MBA Preferred).
- 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources.
- 2+ years’ employee relations experience, and prior experience overseeing employee relations.
- Prior experience working with protected leave and ADA accommodations for a large number of employees.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
- Prior experience overseeing protected leaves.
- Experience working for an organization with 500 or more employees is strongly desired.
