Advanced Programs, Inc. is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to play a crucial role in supporting our organization's human resources functions. Summary and Description of Position:
Responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR Director in supporting all API offices and business operations. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll in ADP; works closely with Accounting/Finance to ensure transparency and checks for error prevention.
- Under the supervision of the Human Resources Director, ensures policies, procedures, and mandatory reporting to include: Non-Discrimination Testing, EEO, Vets, AAP, ACA, are in compliance
- Assists in recruitment efforts to fill vacant positions, through job postings, application/resume review and coordination of interview process with hiring managers.
- May conduct wage surveys within labor market to help determine competitive wage rate.
- Processes new hires, status changes, and terminations in all relevant databases including: People-Trak, Employee Navigator, Performance Review System, Emergency Call System
- Maintains all databases for accuracy to include: People-Trak, Performance Review, Employee Navigator, TASC, Ameriflex, Emergency Call System.
- Enters all new hires into E-Verify in compliance with federal requirements.
- May plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Assists in the coordination of annual benefits enrollment to include distribution of plan documents, information presentation and assistance with employee enrollment when requested.
- Assists in the administration of benefits programs such as life, health, dental, vision, and disability insurances, FSA, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
- Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Monitors changes in employee benefits such as health, dental, vision and 401K and ensures that changes are updated with payroll and in relevant database programs.
- Receives monthly invoices for all benefit programs and verifies accuracies in charges prior to submittal to finance for payment.
- Maintains an updated employee list with all relevant information and prepares quarterly headcount report for finance department
- Tracks and records timesheets for temporary agency employees and prepares quarterly accruals report for submittal to the finance department.
- Receives invoices from temporary agencies and verifies the accuracy of charges prior to submittal to finance for payment.
- Administers the payment of 401K contributions each pay period utilizing the contributions report prepared by payroll and uploading to Fidelity website for processing.
- Print monthly 401K feedback files from the Fidelity website and report any changes to payroll for processing with copies to the employee files.
- Monitors 401K eligibility status for new hires and notifies employees when they become eligible to enroll in 401K. Provide documentation and assistance in getting set-up with Fidelity.
- Assists in the administration of performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
- Participates in the functions committee for planning and executing employee special events
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
***Must have experience using ADP payroll software, recruitment and performance modules.***
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
