Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on HR Business Manager to lead and support all aspects of human resources for a dynamic and innovative culinary destination. The HR Business Manager will serve as a key partner to leadership, managing HR operations, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. This position requires a seasoned HR professional with a strong understanding of the food service and hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with business goals and enhance organizational performance.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts to attract and retain top talent in culinary, retail, and service roles.
  • Manage employee relations, providing guidance to managers and employees to resolve workplace issues effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with industry standards.
  • Lead performance management processes, including goal-setting, evaluations, and career development planning.
  • Design and deliver training programs to support professional growth, compliance, and leadership development.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
  • Monitor HR metrics and provide data-driven insights to leadership for decision-making.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and change management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR leadership, preferably in the hospitality or food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices, with a focus on compliance and employee engagement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to implement practical and effective HR solutions.
  • Experience managing large, diverse teams across multiple departments is a plus.
