  • Ensure every employee attends New Employee Orientation and the appropriate documentations are saved for record keeping.
  • Assist the Recruitment Team with coordinating and facilitating in-house job fairs and other special events.
  • Develops productive relationships with hiring managers to: Learn about program operations, boost productivity, and learn the ongoing needs of the workforce.
  • Serves as a back-up to the Coordinators in assisting with the on-boarding process for all new hires with includes:
  • Enrolls in electronic onboarding system (People Doc) to selected candidates for completion.
  • Reviews and ensures to completion new hire paperwork (in People Doc) and provide list of required documents to candidates.
  • Coordinate’s completion of all steps the pre-employment process to include background checks, reference checks, employment verifications and collection of required documents (diplomas, degrees, IDs, certifications, licensures, etc.)
  • Completes New Hire Checklist in its entirety for all new hires to ensure compliance and legally sound hiring practices.
  • Ensures new hires receives health insurance packet and enrollment forms.
  • Prepares final employee file for all new hires ensuring proper filing of all documents and HR forms consistent with departmental standards.
  • Responsible for effective and efficient management of pre-employment background check processes under CHRC, Justice Center, OCFS, and DOE.

  • Serves as a back-up to the Generalist with assisting in the Transfer/Promotion process with includes:
  • Review and process all transfers and promotion packets.
  • Ensure all employees meet the qualifications and verify all HR and regulatory agency requirements are fulfilled.
  • Responsible for assisting in maintaining HRIS integrity.
  • Assists the HR Generalist with the Payroll Department regarding ADP changes (e.g. new hires, rehires, terminations, salary adjustments, promotions, title changes, transfers, promotions, etc.) under portfolio.
