HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
POSITION SUMMARY:
Complete weekly payroll and related reports. Maintenance of employee records and documentation Greet and direct guests in the south office area and act as main individual responsible for answering incoming telephone calls. Assist HR manager with benefits administration and disciplinary action. Assist HR manager and in other areas of the office when needed.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Employee will be trained to all applicable company standards as identified on the company training matrix TR-401
- Employee enrollment
- Create personnel files.
- Create new employee orientation materials as needed
- Manage new hires & terminations in regards to electronic records within Excel or online (ie, Plex, Fastenal, etc.)
- Payroll
- Enter & maintain garnishment & child support orders in ADP
- Send out termination letters for garnishments as needed
- Enter all paid time off slips into the Time and Attendance software.
- Perform both payroll processing and Time and Attendance processing
- Complete labor and earnings report and file in appropriate electronic folder.
- Enter & maintain garnishment & child support orders in ADP
- Paperwork and record keeping
- Maintain all personnel files
- Create & maintain records & reports for employee and company data tracking as needed
- Manage manning report on a monthly basis
- Benefits Administration
- Assist HR Manager with distribution, review, and maintenance of benefits paperwork
- Audit insurance bills to ensure accuracy monthly
- Communicate with and upload reports to 401k provider weekly
- Maintain & distribute reports of vacation availability for employees
- Send out COBRA termination letters in a timely manner
- Other Responsibilities
- Responsible for the reception of visitors and job applicants at the main entrance to the South office.
- Main individual responsible for answering incoming telephone calls.
- Distributes daily incoming mail, postage meters outgoing mail and ensures its departure.
- Assist corporate management in south office area with assignments as needed.
- Assist with other areas of the office when needed.
- Customer visit coordination and liaison.
- Other assignments as designated by the Human Resources Manager or Executive Management Team.

- High degree of ethical and professional standards. Must be trusted by peers and superiors.
- Confidential office and accounting information (i.e.: payroll) must be held in strict confidence.

- The ability to communicate effectively with others, both internal and external.
- Ability to perform in a proactive mode, and to plan and respond accordingly.
- Organized and structured approach to the work environment, with strong attention to details.
- Ability to excel in a team-based environment.
- Bachelors degree or 4 years’ equivalent experience is preferred.
- Good attention to detail.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Human Resources Assistant reports to the Human Resource Manager.
