Statement of Work:
The FBI currently utilizes Maximo as its enterprise supply chain management solution. Branded as the Asset Management System (AMS), Maximo has been configured to meet FBI-specific needs. Under the Bureau's System Operations Unit (SOU) within the Accounting and Technology Section (ATS), the client's team uses Agile methodology to provide support for infrastructure, enterprise integration, software development, and technical support for the AMS application. In doing so, AMS supports business processes to include, but not limited to, tracking the lifecycle of accountable and non-accountable assets; managing asset receipt, creating tracking, maintenance, disposal, and valuation processes; providing greater visibility into asset history; automating commonly used forms and requests for service; and embedding workflow and email notifications into everyday asset management processes and preventative maintenance tracking. In addition, the client performs these duties to support the annual enterprise inventory process.

Task Description:

The System Architect/Administrator is responsible for providing technical expertise required for installing, supporting, and maintaining the AMS System, and planning for and responding to system service outages and other problems. The System Administrator shall monitor the system to ensure system availability to users; establish AMS system requirements using analysis in the development of custom solutions; ensure that the system is compliant with FBI and ATS IT standards; evaluate analytically and systematically problems of system usage; and organize and plan appropriate corrective action.

dditional duties of the System Administrator shall include:

  • Shall apply patches and all associated tasks (investigation, testing, and migration)
  • Shall analyze user-defined defects to determine resolution path
  • Shall maintain all test information in the ATS change management application
  • Shall support FISMA audit requirements which will at a minimum include:
    • nnually provide transaction and change management data
    • Respond to audit inquiries regarding system documentation, capability, controls, and management
  • Formulate and execute mitigation plans to address audit findings

Required skills/Level of Experience:
  • Shall have at least ten (10) years of technical experience
  • Shall have five (5) years experience with Maximo
  • Experience with implementation of Maximo in an enterprise environment
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills
  • bility to document requirements and communicate to technical (software) teams
  • bility to work with maintenance technicians, stakeholders, and technical staff
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience in an Oracle 11G environment and Windows, AIX, Redhat Linux, Linux, UNIX.
  • Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have skills:
  • Experience/skillset using Linux systems
  • Certified Professional in Maximo Asset Management v7.5 or higher
  • Experience with MAS 8 preferred
  • Experience in asset management preferred
  • Experience in cloud development also preferred
  • Experience working with agile implementation teams
