Unit Description
The mission of the Violent Crime Unit (VCU) is to combat significant violent crime by assuming a leadership role in the nation's efforts to deter, investigate, and apprehend the most violent and dangerous criminal offenders and fugitives. The selectee for this position will manage routine and complex inquiries and tasks and have a thorough knowledge of VCU program operations and objectives. The selectee will be proactive, detail-oriented, flexible, and have excellent communication skills.

Key Requirements
- Must be a current, permanent FBI employee
- Performing administrative management functions, to include, but not limited to, budgetary and financial matters, resource management, compliance matters, strategic planning, and event and training coordination.
- Track, document, and assess program health and activities by conducting programmatic reviews and liaising with HQ program managers and field office program coordinators.
- Update, develop, and/or implement SOPs, trainings, SharePoint sites, and special projects.
- Develop and brief written and visual materials for and to the unit, executives, field office personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Initiate routine and, at times, complex evaluations of ongoing VCU processes and workflows, make recommendations for greater efficiency, and implement tangible solutions.
- Review, analyze, and respond to unit and section-level communications and requests for information.

- Relocation expenses will be borne by the selectee, except FBI employees returning from LEGAT assignment. Employees returning from LEGAT assignments must advise the Staffing and Administrative Unit / International Operations Division of their application for this position.
- Current tax law impacts your transfer by making your moving expense reimbursements taxable. Please contact HQ_DIV12_Online_Transfer_Issues for information regarding taxable expenses. - Candidates receiving a transfer of physical location, whether at the expense of the FBI or not, will be required to complete a one year commitment to the assignment, prior to moving to a new position at the FBI.
