Little Steps Columbia has immediate openings for our preschool classroom. This candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans. Monitoring the progress for each scholar that is in your class. Having daily interactions with each parent whose scholar is in their class.

Duties
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote child development in areas such as physical education, math, and language skills
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through positive interactions and guidance
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and communicate with parents or guardians regularly
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning
- Ensure the well-being and welfare of all children in your care
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of previous experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that meet the individual needs of each child
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check
