Job Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager based in Portland, Oregon. As an Accounting Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing a variety of accounting functions, utilizing various software systems, and leveraging your government experience.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and auditing.
• Implement and manage a new ERP system.
• Supervise the billing function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Leverage prior government experience to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Supervise a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports and statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Mastery over Accounting Functions is a must.
• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is needed.
• Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is crucial.
• Auditing skills are required.
• Proficiency in Billing Functions is important.
