We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our non-profit organization in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The role calls for a detail-oriented individual with the ability to manage a range of accounting tasks. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and payable, overseeing payroll, and preparing financial reports, among other duties.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage general accounting functions, ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Manage payroll transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
• Oversee the posting and maintenance of general ledger accounts
• Ensure timely and accurate performance of month-end close procedures
• Prepare and present monthly financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, and actual to budget variance analysis
• Verify invoices for payment and ensure accurate and timely disbursements as part of accounts payable duties
• Oversee accounts receivable duties such as preparation of monthly statements, monthly invoicing, monitoring delinquent accounts, and allocating revenue
• Manage the use of accounting software and CRM software for efficient operations
• Maintain a disciplined and organized approach to time management and task completion
• Exercise critical thinking skills in the execution of all duties.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems• Experience with BlackLine
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with auditing procedures
• Ability to oversee Billing Functions
• Expertise in Month End Close procedures
• Proficient in Financial Statement Preparation
• Understanding of Financial Statement analysis
• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations
• Ability to manage Payroll functions
