Salary: $60-68K per year

CPS Recruitment is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join an established team in the Utica/Rome, NY area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, including Accounts Payable/Receivable, Payroll, and Financial Reporting. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and a casual, supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and process Accounts Payable/Receivable
• Handle Payroll processing accurately and timely
• Maintain and update QuickBooks for all accounting activities
• Prepare and post Journal Entries
• Generate and analyze financial reports
• Perform general office tasks as needed to support the team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
