Job Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity in the construction/contracting industry in White Bear Township, Minnesota for an Accounting Analyst. This role involves maintaining the accounting system in line with the generally accepted accounting principles and being a key point of contact for banking activities.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting with the preparation of balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Ensuring the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciling subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
• Analyzing current costs, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future expenses.
• Assisting with audit and audit preparation.
• Performing sales commission calculations.
• Maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Assisting with the month-end close process.
• Maintaining all areas of expense management for SG& A.
• Completing daily banking activities.
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations.

• Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction/contractor industry.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is expected.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.
• Auditing skills are crucial for this role.
• Ability to perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation needed.
• Knowledge of Balance Sheets, including Consolidated Balance Sheet, is mandatory.
• Experience in Month End Close processes is essential.
• Familiarity with Annual Standard Cost is required.
• Understanding of Standard Costing and Standard Cost Accounting is crucial.
• The role requires an individual with a strong background in all the listed skills and experiences.
