Compensation: Estimated $70,000 to $90,000 annual salary based on experience level
Location: In-office (5 days a week) at Buffalo Grove, IL office. May qualify for a hybrid schedule after 3+ months of employment (3-4 days a week in-office).

Auditor / Audit Accountant Job Summary:
Picker & Associates, LLC is a well-established firm in Buffalo Grove, IL, seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Auditor to join our team. This role involves conducting comprehensive audits from the initial setup of financial information to the preparation and submission of financial statements for technical review. Our client portfolio is diverse, with a heavy emphasis on condominium associations, small businesses, and a handful of non-profit organizations.
Auditor / Audit Accountant Responsibilities:
- Perform the entire audit process, from setting up the financial information in CCH ProSystem fx to preparing financial statements for technical review.
- Collaborate with clients to obtain necessary financial packages and specific documents for review.
- Conduct preliminary analytical review procedures and address significant undetermined variances with clients.
- Schedule and execute field audits, including performing substantive testing audit procedures at client sites primarily in Cook County.
- Record audit results meticulously and conduct audits remotely as required.
- Prepare draft financial statements and audit reports; perform final analytical review.
- Submit audits for technical review process and maintain effective follow-up communication with clients.
- Travel (about 10 days/year) to perform audits at client locations in the Chicago area, as needed.
Auditor / Audit Accountant Requirements:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in audit accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior audit experience with condominium associations and Cooperatives is a plus.
- CPA or similar certification is preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in auditing, with a thorough understanding of audit practices and principles.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP guidelines and Sarbanes-Oxley rules and regulations.
- Proficiency in CCH ProSystem fx or other relevant accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as required for on-site audits.
