Robert Half is hiring: Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Huntington

We are in search of an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to become an integral part of our team based in Huntington, West Virginia, United States. The primary function of this role is to oversee our daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant laws, and work on financial reporting. This role is a unique opportunity within the finance industry. This position is fully onsite and requires a Bachelors degree in Accounting. The ideal candidate will have a background in public accounting and audit.

Responsibilities:

• Managing daily accounting operations, with a focus on accounts payable and the general ledger.

• Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.

• Implementing and maintaining internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance.

• Enhancing our data analysis capabilities and implementing process improvements for efficiency.

• Assisting with the creation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations during month-end.

• Facilitating coordination with both internal and external auditors.

• Assisting with the preparation and analysis of the operating budget.

• Ensuring division-wide compliance with all implemented policies and procedures.

• Working on capital planning and budgeting initiatives.

• The candidate must have 3 or more years of experience as an Accounting Manager/Supervisor.

• Proficiency in various Accounting Software Systems is necessary.

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a must.

• The candidate should be versed in various Accounting Functions.

• Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed.

• The candidate should have experience in Auditing.

• Proficiency in handling Billing Functions is a must
