The Role

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for monthly financial close activities, controls and technical accounting. They will ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, maintain documentation for accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, general ledger and sales taxes filing and preparation

• Liaison between corporate accounting and production departments
• Process bi-weekly payroll for production crews and staff
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures
• Aiding in the creation of multi-entity accounting pipeline 
• Oversee Fixed Asset and Capital Expenditure tracking
• Ensuring variances to planned performance and impacts appropriately analyzed, understood and communicated to relevant stakeholders
• Compile monthly financial reports for the Controller 
• Helping maintain a robust control environment across the Controller’s function
• Ensuring compliance of all tasks with relevant accounting standards and GAAP
• Assisting with internal and external audits
• Other ad hoc analysis as required

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferred
• Working knowledge of job costing 
• 5+ Years of Accounting experience
• Advanced proficiency with Excel
