LHH is hiring an Accounting Manager for a client located near Morton Grove, IL. This is a fully onsite role that offers a competitive benefits package and collaborative work environment.



Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to forecast future revenues and expenses or provide financial advice.
  • Oversee monthly closing activities, including the preparation of Excel-based reports and management reporting packages.
  • Conduct general ledger account analysis.
  • Assess the company’s operations from a financial and accounting perspective.
  • Review financial statements and reports for accuracy, identifying issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
  • Support accounts receivable invoicing and credit functions.
  • Maintain the fixed asset log, including depreciation and amortization schedules for both book and tax purposes.
  • Monitor and report daily cash flow.
  • Assist in managing the Accounting Department, providing staff with support and guidance to achieve departmental goals.
  • Periodically update cost rates and standards in the system to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide external auditors with necessary information for thorough and accurate audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure monthly sales tax compliance.
  • Provide accounting support and assistance to other departments.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • 5-8 years of strong accounting experience.
  • Manufacturing or distribution experience.
