Position Summary
Cryoport has a temporary opening for an Accounting Manager in our Irvine, CA office. This full-time, important role will be on-site and report to the Assistant Controller to performs a variety of accounting responsibilities, while ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), and organization-wide policies and procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties will include:
• Monthly Close managing deadline driven activities including Reconciliations, Journal Entries,
subsidiary Trial Balance uploads, intercompany, and closing process review
• Compile Financial Statement footnote detail and assist in preparation and tie out of
quarterly filings (10-Q/10-K) to support corporate reporting needs
• Assist with the quarterly review and year-end audit process and provide supporting
documentation and analysis as needed
• Maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting (SOX) including appropriate
supporting documentation
• Assist with documentation of accounting procedures
• Prepare Flux Analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepare JE's for intercompany cross-charges.
• Experience with preparing and filing Business Property Tax, Sales and Use Tax and quarterly VAT taxes, a plus
• Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
• Assist with local statutory audit and filing
• Work on special projects to improve the efficiency of the accounting department.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA, a plus
  • 5-7 plus years' experience in a corporate accounting environment
  • Big 4/regional firm audit/assurance experience a plus
  • Experience accounting for complex business entities
  • Strong knowledge of both statutory and GAAP
  • Experience with annual accounting audits
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite and Concur a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues and research proper accounting treatment under GAAP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present clear analyses and discuss issues, and the capability to express thoughts clearly in both oral and written communications


Compensation: $60 hr.
