Description:

Deltech has an immediate need for a skilled Accounting Manager to join our Accounting team. Located at our Baton Rouge plant and reporting to our Director of FP&A, the ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of financial and operating reports.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Provides accurate and timely financial statements and ensures appropriate accounting treatment for all unusual/material transactions.
  • Ensures financial statements are in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Prepares work papers supporting the monthly close process and month end balances.
  • Maintains accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Monitors and develops internal controls to minimize financial risk.
  • Assists in preparation of monthly financial reports and analytical review of monthly operating results.
  • Issues monthly product cost standards and ensure consistency with production yields, usage levels and current pricing.
  • Prepares journal entries required to reflect monthly activity.
  • Ensures periodic balance sheet and bank reconciliations are completed.
  • Analyzes capital project budgets vs. actual expenditures.
  • Performs daily cash functions.
  • Provides assistance needed for annual external audit with outside CPA firm.
  • Provides assistance needed for preparation of work papers supporting the annual tax returns.
  • Supervises direct reports and assists in leading & directing other accounting personnel.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Masters degree preferred

· CPA is preferred, but not required.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in the accounting and finance sector

Manufacturing experience a plus.

Prior experience supervising direct reports required.

Other requirements:

· Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

· Familiarity with accounting software.

· Extensive spreadsheet skills.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite experience (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Accounting software or ERP experience
