Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes. In this role, you will oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, manage daily accounting operations, and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. You will be responsible for cash management, vendor payments, payroll, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting audits, managing internal controls, and preparing budgets and forecasts. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience with accounting software.

Salary, Benefits, and Advancement Opportunities: The Accounting Manager at Replex Plastics earns $65K to $85K /yr salary based on experience, plus bonuses. Little to no travel is required. Receive 5 PTO days after 6 months, 1 PDO per year, 7 paid holidays, and access to health, vision, and dental insurance after 90 days. We offer 401K with up to 4% employer matching

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure accurate and timely weekly payroll processing, with prompt payment of taxes and withholdings.
• Manage Accounts Receivable to minimize bad debts and maintain strong relationships with customers, collaborating with Sales and Customer Service on new orders and credit limits.
• Collaborate with Replex’s President to optimize cash management.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, maintaining good vendor relationships and utilizing early payment discounts, while minimizing paper checks by using electronic payments.
• Periodically audit and review inventory for accuracy, updating standard costs as needed.
• Update the weekly scorecard and compute KPIs for management review.
• Close the month-end within 2 business days, ensuring accuracy in reports distributed as per the checklist.
• Close year-end by January 31st and provide necessary reports to the CPA firm, ensuring books align with tax returns. Provide financial reports to the bank as required in loan documents.

Qualifications for Success:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, including managerial or supervisory experience, is required for this position.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in spreadsheet and computer skills.
• Effective communicator with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Works well in collaboration with colleagues across the organization.
• Capable of supervising a small team, including self and assistant(s).
• A team player at Replex, willing to collaborate across departments to support the overall success of the organization.
