Role Description
ProviderCFO is seeking a skilled and experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a experience in audit and a passion for delivering top-tier financial services. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely, with occasional travel to client locations to build strong partnerships and support their operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for multiple clients.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with clients to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies tailored to their business needs.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the preparation of audit schedules and act as the primary liaison with auditors during client audits.
- Mentor and support accounting team members, fostering a culture of education and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement industry best practices.
- Conduct periodic on-site visits to clients, as needed, to enhance relationships and provide hands-on support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in an audit role.
- Experience in the Senior Living or Disability Services sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Willingness to travel periodically, including overnight stays.
