Legal Secretary: Davis, Illinois

Our customer in Davis, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting a Legal Secretary to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Legal Secretary, you will provide essential administrative support to attorneys, ensuring smooth operations within the legal department by handling a variety of clerical and legal tasks.

Responsibilities of the Legal Secretary:

Answer phones
Scan, save and rename documents to client files
Type dictated records and emails
Take documents to post office
Schedule calls and zoom meetings with clients and/or opposing counsel/party
Schedule and set up consultations with potential clients
Add court dates to calendar for attorney, notifying clients of next court dates
Additional office work as assigned

Legal Secretary Requirements and Qualifications:

Prior customer service experience preferred
Valid driver’s license required
Good at multi-tasking would be a benefit in this role
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail required
Time management skills
General computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat

Pay for Legal Secretary: Starting at $20/hour.
