The Legal Secretary provides critical administrative and organizational support to attorneys in family and matrimonial law practice. This role provides secretarial duties with office management tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal processes related to family law, be highly organized, and possess excellent communication skills. Responsibilities: Legal Secretary Duties: • Maintain and organize client files, both in hard copy and electronically. • Schedule client meetings, court hearings, and mediations; maintain attorney calendars. • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. • File legal documents with courts (both in person and electronically) and serve as a point of contact for court personnel. • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel via phone, email, and letters. • Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a legal secretary, preferably in family and matrimonial law. • Strong knowledge of family law processes, court procedures, and legal terminology. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal case management software. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with professionalism. • Ability to successfully pass a background check. • Possess a driver's license in good standing. Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000

Compensation:
$45,000-$55,000 per year
