Primary Function: To facilitate the mission of the schools through effective communication, problem-solving and the provision of quality clerical support services.

Qualifications and conditions for this position will be in accordance with the most recent agreements between the district and the local OESPA unit.

Applicants must have training and/or experience:
  • Associate degree or equivalent preferred, minimum high school diploma.
  • Three (3) years related experience.
  • Experience, knowledge, skills and training in technology, business and office practice and related functions.
  • Experience and training which provide the following abilities, skills, and knowledge:
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and mathematics.
  • Experience with computer and computer software programs.
  • Ability to word process at 55 wpm corrected.
  • Ability to compose and generate various forms of communication.
  • Ability to communicate with staff, students, and community members in a courteous, tactful, and effective manner.
  • Ability to effectively operate various systems and office equipment.
  • Must exhibit a pleasant personality and positive attitude toward working with students, administration, staff, and community members.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide an exceptional customer service experience in the day-to-day operations of the school building.
  • Serve as the resource and liaison for parents, students, staff, and community members.
  • Assist with safety and security including participating as a member of the Heart Saver team.
  • Manage multiple and variable tasks and data review processes/maintenance and projects.
  • Manage book inventory system and instructional & office supply orders in partnership with the finance department.
  • Manage and assist the administration and counseling department with student records, files and accounts.
  • Facilitate the scheduling of building usage & manage the key system.
  • Sort and disperse mail.
  • Assist operations and student services with enrollment and paperwork during peak enrollment periods.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of graduation ceremonies.
  • Serve as the secretary to administration providing clerical functions as needed.
  • Perform communication duties including updating the schools website social media posts.
  • Manage substitute staff through WillSub.
  • Communicate with the transportation, maintenance, and custodial departments.
  • Assist with device handout and returns process.
  • Maintain regular and predictable in-person attendance.
  • Support the Oxford Community Schools vision and mission.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

OESPA 2024-25 base hourly rate: $18.81

Reports to: Building Principal
