  • Perform various administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management

  • Prepare legal documents, including contracts and pleadings, for attorney review

  • Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and completeness

  • Maintain calendars and schedule appointments for attorneys

  • Answer phone calls and take messages with proper phone etiquette

  • Transcribe dictations and correspondence as needed

    Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation secretary is required

  • Must have experience in personal injury defense, construction defect defense, and

    insurance defense.

  • Knowledge of legal terminology, e-filing, court rules, and court system

  • Knowledge of WordPerfect and ability to work with legal technology (court-filing

    computer systems, transcription software, dictaphone and court forms program)

  • Working knowledge of litigation management software systems is a plus

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
