As a maintenance supervisor, you have the responsibility of overseeing our talented team of mechanics and ensuring that work, both scheduled and unscheduled, is completed in a timely manner, in accordance with company policy, to the highest standard of workmanship. and up to our safety standards.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Managing allocated resources in an efficient manner and to the satisfaction of the company
- Ensuring that the company's aircraft are maintained in accordance with acceptable maintenance practices and satisfy all regulatory requirements of the FAA
- Maintaining the welfare of employees and ensuring that safety in the workplace is the rule and not the exception
- Must maintain an up-to-date status of the aircraft, and ensure that this information is made available to DOM
- Mandatory adherence and enforcement of company policies and procedures
- Must control the flow and accuracy of all paperwork and records on the aircraft that are in the work process.
- Must provide an informative shift turnover
- Progressively train the personnel under direct report and document all training
- Ensure that equipment and tooling is maintained in a serviceable condition or take the necessary actions to make them serviceable
- Maintain workspace and facility in a neat, clean, and orderly manner
- Maintain a Foreign Object Debris: FOD-free environment
- Account for company issued tools prior to an aircraft being released
- Notify the DOM of any problems encountered while performing his or her duties
Minimum or Preferred Requirements:
- Minimum 5-10 years of AMT experience required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the maintenance of turbo prop aircraft
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screen, FBI fingerprint screening, 10-year criminal background check education and experience
- Must possess current driver's license and passport
- Must be able to work flexible shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and OT as needed; must be able to travel if needed
- High School Diploma/Equivalent
- FAA Aircraft & Power plant Mechanic Certificate
- Proficiency with MS Office applications--Word, Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge of TRAX highly desired
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
