School Site:Downey, Idaho

Overview:Sunbeltis seeking a dedicated and skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our educational team inDowney, Idaho. The Sign Language Interpreter will play a vital role in facilitating effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff within the school environment. This position requires proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and a commitment to supporting the educational and social integration of students with hearing impairments.

• Start date: ASAP
• End date: June, 2025
• Full Time
• This role is providing interpreting services 1 on 1 with an 8th grade student
• Onsite Only, No Remote

Qualifications:

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and proficiency in English.
• Experience working as a sign language interpreter in an educational setting, preferably in K-12 schools.
• Understanding of deaf culture and sensitivity to the needs of students with hearing impairments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
