We have an opportunity for a Cybersecurity Analyst Expert supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs.

MINIMUM CLEARANCE LEVEL: Public Trust
CITIZENSHIP: US Citizenship
LOCATION: Remote

Position Overview
Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for reviewing the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintaining an organization's data and information. Provide the support for task requirements for Cybersecurity Engineering Support, Cybersecurity Network Domain Certification, Accreditation Support, and Cross Domain Solution (CDS) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Support. Provide support of cybersecurity network domain Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) support and execution activities. Performs Cyber Security Operational duties to ensure the appropriate ongoing operations of systems, processes, and policies within the Cyber Security Team.

This includes functions such as operational changes in support of projects / initiatives / operations to ensure effective and efficient operations. Ensure the ongoing efficient and effective operations of the assigned systems, processes, and procedures to fully meet the control objectives. Analyze system/network information and develop defense measures to eliminate or reduce the effect of cybersecurity threats.

Expertise:

  • Expertise in IT with Cyber Security Policy and threat mitigation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of Cyber Security tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, Public Key Infrastructure and secured networks.
  • Expertise in developing long-term strategies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge about various cyber threats and their mitigation.
  • Well versed in network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks.
  • Poses a high level of expertise in developing long term strategies and is knowledgeable about various cyber threats and their mitigation.
  • Extensive working knowledge of NIST and Federal information system security guidance, processes, and methodologies.
Degree/Experience Requirements:
  • Public Trust
  • Master's degree in computer science, Electronics Engineering or other relevant technical discipline (such as Information Technology, Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering,
    • A minimum of 12 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Minimum of 15 years working experience in relevant field.
  • Strong communication skills (mastery of English language, both written and verbal)
Certification: (One of the following is desired)
  • CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst-CSA
  • CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner CASP or CISSP
  • One of the following certifications:
    • CompTIA Security+ Certification
    • CompTIA Network+ Certification
