As a Prep Cook at our esteemed establishment, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary team by assisting in the preparation of ingredients and basic components for our dishes. With your attention to detail, culinary skills, and commitment to excellence, you will contribute to the creation of high-quality and delicious culinary offerings for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, including chopping, peeling, slicing, and portioning, in accordance with established recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Under the guidance of the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and Sous Chef, prepare stocks, sauces, dressings, and other basic components to contribute to culinary excellence.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the prep area by properly storing and labeling ingredients and regularly cleaning equipment and work surfaces.
- Support in receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients, promptly reporting any issues or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food production during service hours, providing assistance to Line Cooks and other kitchen staff as required.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling of perishable items, temperature control, and safe storage of food products.
- Follow standard operating procedures and kitchen guidelines meticulously to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
- Exhibit a strong, upbeat, and positive demeanor, demonstrating a commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail.
- Possess a genuine passion for food, beverage, and hospitality, contributing to a vibrant and dynamic team environment.

- Previous experience as a prep cook or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
- Basic culinary knowledge and skills, including knife handling and food preparation techniques.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.
- The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
- Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
- The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
