Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center, Indiana's first community mental health center, provides comprehensive care for emotional and behavioral problems, including severe mental illness and substance abuse. The Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center offers both inpatient and outpatient services, including several outreach centers as well as clinic- and community-based services.

The Clinical Supervisor plays a crucial role in the development and oversight of processes to ensure the effective review and updating of treatment plans at intervals specified by guidelines. This role also focuses on maintaining high standards of documentation.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center's primary mission is to serve individuals with serious mental illness and chronic addiction as well as seriously emotionally disturbed children and their families. Patients of all ages are welcomed, from children to seniors, with a philosophy of care that stresses strength-based and family- and community-centered treatment utilizing the Recovery Model of treatment.

Am I Qualified?
- Master's degree in human services.
- Minimum of five years of experience in direct service using EBP's such as TF_CBT, CBT and Child Centered Play, and/or also family therapy.
- Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of Indiana.
- Possesses a valid Indiana Driver's License.
- Current CPR certification.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Proactively contributes to the Eskenazi Health mission, with a special focus on serving the vulnerable population of Marion County.
- Models Eskenazi Health values of Professionalism, Respect, Innovation, Development, and Excellence.
- Provides clinical supervision to clinicians, case managers, or related positions.
- Ensures staff readiness through orientation and on-the-job training.
- Maintains expertise in research-based clinical practices and protocols.
- Teaches and monitors staff adherence to these practices and protocols.
- Collaborates with psychiatrists, managers, and other personnel for the integration and development of treatment services.
- Participates in the development of in-service training opportunities.
- Works collaboratively with other organizations to ensure continuity of services and develops referral systems.
- Monitors clinical work performance and assists in preparing personnel data and performance evaluations.
- Assists staff in preparing documentation, including court letters, evaluations, and professional correspondence.
- Assists the Manager in managing contracts, grants, and service agreements.
- Provides a comprehensive range of strengths and community-based interventions for clients.
- Develops and oversees processes to review and update treatment plans according to guidelines.
- Demonstrates familiarity with best practices for diverse client populations.
- Provides indirect services to external agencies and the community through consultation and education.
- Serves as a role model and clinical resource for other clinicians.
- Assists clinicians in determining appropriate interventions to aid clients in reaching their treatment goals.
- Assists other team members in covering client needs.
- Offers input for staff performance appraisals.
- Thorough understanding of strength and community based treatment models
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to be both clear and concise in written and verbal communication
- Advanced knowledge of:
- psychiatric/addiction diagnoses and understanding of their impact on behavior
- psychotropic medication; their uses and side effects
- research based clinical practices and protocols
- Use of discretion and independent decision-making regarding staff, clients and program matters
- Ability to:
- teach, support and mentor others
- use communication appropriate to the age of the audience
- teach evidenced based clinical practices and protocols to other staff
- monitor adherence to clinical practices intervention according to fidelity of clinical models
