Overview:
WiredPeople is seeking an Office Assistant to join our public health team. This position is in the Emergency Medical Services and Injury Prevention System Branch of the Health Resources Administration. Must be Microsoft 365 trained and perform clerical, administrative, and fiscal support services for EMSIPSB Staff.
The ideal candidate is a high-energy individual with excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communications.
This role is Full-time, up to 40 hours per week, and will be based onsite Honolulu, Hawaii.

Responsibilities:
- Perform journey level clerical work involving a variety of clerical assignments, e.g., those that involve a number of steps/processes and/or referral to a number of different sources and require the use of some judgment to determine appropriate disposition.
- Prioritize work and carry out assignments independently, in accordance with general instructions and established policies and procedures
- Supervise and participate in performing moderately complex clerical work and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Six (6) months of work experience which demonstrated knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and arithmetic; the ability to read and understand oral and written instructions; write simply and directly; and compare words and numbers quickly and accurately.
- ONE (1) YEAR of work experience which demonstrated the ability to read and understand complex written materials such as rules, procedures, or policies; comprehend and apply written instructions; and to write simply and clearly.
- Ability to use computers using word processing and/or other software applications. These positions require the ability to keyboard/type 40 net words per minute with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Some positions require the ability to lift and carry items of various weights with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Some positions may require the handling of firearms and ammunition. Applicants for these positions must not possess a conviction of domestic violence.
- Some positions require the ability to comprehend, read, write and speak a language other than English, such as Hawaiian, Japanese, or the use of American Sign Language.
