JOB SUMMARY:
Clemson University is accepting applications from performing arts production professionals to fulfill multiple House Manager roles as they become available:
Provide front-of-house management for all Brooks Center and Department of Performing Arts evening productions, Tri-ART morning school productions, Clemson University events, and external rental events. Supervise all volunteer ushers. Maintain CPR/AED certification and manage front-of-house safety procedures. Performs other duties as assigned,

JOB DUTIES:
45% - Essential - Coordinate Pre-Performance Operations
Supervise all volunteer ushers. Assign responsibilities to ushers for each performance. Review safety training and ensure ushers have a familiarity with the seating chart. Ensure that programs are distributed to patrons and patrons are seated in an accurate and timely manner. Test ticket scanners prior to the performance to ensure accurate operation. Confirm necessary information such as show time and length with the box office staff and relay information to ushers and patrons. Create a welcoming environment for all guests to the Brooks Center
40% - Essential - Oversee Safety Procedures
Responsible for all front of house safety procedures. Ensure ushers are aware of emergency exits and procedures. Communicate with the production manager to assist with any emergency procedures. Maintain current AED/CPR certification.
15% - Essential - Coordinate Operations with Other Managers
Communicate with production manager to close the house and seat latecomers. Work with production manager to ensure the performance begins on time. Assist Box Office Manager and staff as needed.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Education - A high school diploma and experience or additional education in the production or specialty areas of production of radio or television programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications - CPR/AED training (provided)
