Job Summary:

The Production Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Production Manager in overseeing manufacturing operations. This role involves supervising daily production activities, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output targets.
  • Monitor equipment performance and ensure timely maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling production workflows to optimize efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and training to production staff to improve skills and productivity.
  • Track production metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve production-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, resource usage, and inventory levels.
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years in a production or manufacturing environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Proficiency in production software and tools.
    • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Certifications: Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (preferred).

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Works in an ESD manufacturing environment.
  • Lift/carry/push/pull up to 20lbs.
  • Stooping, bending, stretching, and reaching outward and over their head.
  • This position may require extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary.
