Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Production Manager to lead our production operations. This role is suited for someone with 5-10 years of experience in a production environment who is ready to train, grow, and actively manage a dynamic team. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing plant operations, maintaining production goals, and fostering a motivated, well-trained workforce. This is a shopfloor-oriented role that requires leadership, technical expertise, and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plant Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of plant operations, maintenance, and production personnel.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Foster a motivated and well-trained staff, conducting performance reviews and plant meetings.
  • Production Planning: Ensure efficient, on-time production planning in coordination with supporting departments.
  • Quality Control: Optimize quality standards and implement OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) concepts.
  • 5S Implementation: Lead the implementation and management of the 5S program within production departments.
  • New Projects: Launch and manage new customer projects, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Technical Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers and manage production equipment, tooling, and supplies.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience leading teams in a production environment.
  • Hands-On Approach: Comfortable working on the shopfloor with strong physical capability.
  • Technical Knowledge: Expertise in high-precision machining, automation, and robotics (no programming required).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Lean production knowledge to solve complex production issues.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the company.
  • Flexibility: Must be flexible to work across all three shifts as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain plant safety and cleanliness in accordance with company policies.
  • Establish and maintain community relations.
  • Optimize production processes to reduce scrap rates.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and select supervisory staff.
  • Ensure compliance with approved methods and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of leadership experience in a production environment.
  • Strong physical ability to work on the production floor.
  • Knowledge of OEE and 5S methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
