VIVE Culture Church is hiring: Production Director in Kansas City

VIVE Culture Church (VCC) is a vibrant, Spirit-filled, nondenominational church community in Kansas City dedicated to fully practicing the way of Jesus. Our mission is to foster authentic, loving relationships with Jesus and as we grow in sound, theological doctrine, learn how to be in real community with one another and grow in intimacy with God. We are looking for an experienced Production Director with experience who can foster a strong sense of God’s presence. This person must live a life in love with Jesus, be passionate about creating an environment for the Holy Spirit to move, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.

Descriptions Summary

The Production Director will oversee and direct in-person gatherings as well as our online experience. This role will also oversee the setup and tear down for the stage and theater, the development of team members, our online/audio experience, and carry out and uphold the overall vision of VCC.

Weekend Services

• Lead setup and teardown of auditorium production and broadcast
• Give technical oversight to weekend services to ensure growing excellence
• Set and maintain the direction for audio mixing, video capture, screens, and lighting
• Lead the production team at rehearsals and through services
• Serve as FOH Audio Engineer, Service Director, Producer or other key role each weekend
• PCO plan/ order
• Manage planning center live
• Ensure a roles are filled each sunday
• Oversight for online experience

Ministry Partner Development

• Champion a team culture that inspires spiritual growth and awareness
• Lead and develop ministry partners
• Develop team leaders who in turn can equip and develop others
• Recruit, audition and train new team members
• Schedule the production team for all service events

Systems Oversight

• Prepare systems and equipment for special projects, rehearsals and services
• Maintain and refine all service-centric technical systems
• Implement and manage a system to ensure timely maintenance and replacement of all equipment and systems

Planning Team Member

• Strategically plan quarterly goals to ensure continuous growth and improvement.
• Be available to lead meetings when requested
• Attend staff meetings and gatherings as needed

Ministry Support

• Cast vision and manage the Technical Ministry Budget
• Give insight into key AVL systems repair and replacement for other ministry areas
• PVKids, Youth and Classroom AVL systems
• Support the development of clear, easy-to-follow processes for all peripheral AVL
• Develop future plans and assess the needs of the production team.
• Develop and manage the budget and resources necessary for production and special events.

Systems Knowledge

• Audio/Video online platforms
• Blackmagic Switcher
• ProPresenter
• Mac and PC
• Serve as point person for system replacements and repairs

Qualifications and Experience

• Formal audio training is desired
• At least 3 years experience as a Technical Director or Production Director in a church of over 800 in weekly attendance
• Experience in systems integration and/or system design/engineering
• Positive attitude and able to rally and motivate teams
• Understands video and streaming equipment and services extremely well
• Demonstrates expertise and resourcefulness and is able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Relies on extensive experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
• Experience in recruiting qualified leaders and volunteers
• Ability to plan, budget, delegate, and meet deadlines
• Well-organized, punctual, and capable of managing time effectively
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrate a humble and teachable spirit, open to feedback and growth
• Mature and ongoing personal relationship with Jesus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
